NEWS........ "THE FAN" ESPN 1050 Honors Trojans On Wednesday May 20, ESPN 1050 "The Fan" Radio Station honored County Area Athletes at a Banquet at the Decatur Club, in downtown Decatur. Kayti Lundin was honored as 2009 ESPN 1050 "The Fan" High School Softball Player of the Year. Kayti was one of five finalists who was up for this award. Also honored at this banquet were three other Maroa-Forsyth
Athletes. Congratulations to Kayti, Michael, Samantha, Abbey, and Coach
Josh Jostes on these honors and representing Maroa-Forsyth with
excellence and pride. Sill Earns ROTC Scholarship Senior Darren Sill has earned the Navy's ROTC scholarship and will attend the University of Missouri, Columbia. Congratulations Darren!! GRADUATION DATE SET At the March board meeting, members set the high school graduation date for Friday, May 22 at 7:30 pm. Jung Mi Park Finishes Year as Student of the Month Being immersed in a different culture and surrounded by a foreign language can be a daunting task, especially when completing a year of high school studies. Jung Mi Park has through her hard work and determination overcome the challenges of the English language to succeed in her classes. Jung Mi has been chosen as the April Student of the Month. She approached her classes with a positive attitude and enthusiasm. She became an active member of the student body, endearing herself to both her peers and her teachers.
