Trojan Artists to Shine
Two Maroa-Forsyth High School student artists’ works can be seen in the
Millikin University Second Annual High School Invitational Juried Art Show in Lower Gallery through November 28, 2008 from 8 am to 5 pm.

The objective of this show is for high school art teachers to debut two pieces chosen from all their students’ works. Art teacher Kathleen Picchietti-Zimmerman chose the artwork of Elizabeth McDuffie (Senior) and Kelsey Claypool (Sophomore) to represent Maroa-Forsyth High School in the show.

Elizabeth McDuffie’s work is a 2-dimensional Self-Portrait in Mixed Media of colored paper with glitter and beading embellishments. Kelsey Claypool’s art piece is a 3-dimensional Mixed Media form created with fabric, wire, wood, acrylic paint, and stone embellishments.

1st Quarter Honor Roll Announced

October Student of the Month
Senior Jaci Gillspie has developed into the epitome of a Maroa-Forsyth Trojan student. Hardwork, dedication, and a sincere interest to see the very best work get done are just a couple ways to describe Jaci. She volunteers to work for organizations' community service and conferences, schedules to work 20 plus hours at her job, and still manages to stay focused on obtaining her education at MFHS. Jaci is a joy to work with; high energy, successful, and driven. Congratulations Jaci Gillespie on being named October Student of the month.
