I grew up in Mansfield, IL and attended Blue Ridge Schools, graduating in 1999. I then attended Illinois Wesleyan University, and I graduated with a degree in Business Administration in May of 2003. Go Titans! After that, I began working for Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a management trainee in Arlington Heights, IL. I worked in many different positions for the company over 4 years including most recently as an Account Representative at State Farm Insurance in Bloomington. In May of 2007, I completed my teaching certification at Illinois State University graduating with honors.
I love teaching because my classes are preparing students for what they will face after graduation either in the workforce, at a community college, or a 4-year university.

Cinnamon Bay, St. John Virgin Islands -I visited it for the first time this summer. It is the most beautiful place I've ever seen! Kenny Chesney sings about this beach but words cannot describe how peaceful and serene it really is.
This is my cat, Gus. Over a year ago, he snuck into the neighbor's U-Haul and rode from Bloomington to Normal where he managed to survive 12 days in an industrial park without food and water. This is just half of the story.....thankfully, he's back and better than ever!
