Mr. Weisenborn is thrilled to be the Jr.
High/High School Choral Director for the Maroa-Forsyth School
District! Mr. Weisenborn graduated Summa Cum Laude (highest
honors) in May 2008 from Millikin University in Decatur,
IL. While at Millikin, Mr.
Weisenborn
served
as
President
of University Choir (the top choir at Millikin), was named
to the Dean’s List every semester, served as an accompanist
for several of the choirs, and was inducted into Alpha Lambda
Delta National Academic Honor Society.
Before coming to Maroa-Forsyth, Mr. Weisenborn
served as the Asst. Director of the Thomas Jefferson Middle
School
Show Choir in Decatur, IL, has worked as a staff member of
the B.O.S.S. program with the Decatur Park District, and
was a member of the Decatur Park Singers. Mr. Weisenborn
has been the Asst. Musical Director for The Little Theatre
on the Square
in Sullivan, IL (Summers 2008, 2010)—playing keyboard
in the main stage productions, and also served as
the Musical Director for the Theatre for Young Audiences.
He is the current District V Sr. Choir Rep for the Illinois
Music Educators Association.
Keeping busy (like always), Mr. Weisenborn
now serves as the Director of the Decatur Park Singers!
Mr. Weisenborn loves teaching and has some exciting things
planned for the choirs this year!
